Martello Tower Y Wins RIBA Regional Award

Billings Jackson Design and Piercy Conner Architects have won an RIBA Award, Eastern region, for the conversion of this Scheduled Monument into founder-director Duncan Jackson’s family home.

Balancing sensitive conservation with contemporary design, the team overcame highly complex planning negotiations and a challenging build to create what has been described by English Heritage as “an exemplary and unique conversion of this type of building”.
