Signage is often the last aspect of a building to be considered with the result that expedient and ad hoc solutions often detract from a finished building.
German sign manufacturers Mabeg identified this problem as a potential gap in the market and commissioned Grimshaw to develop a unified approach to signage specification. Billings Jackson Design came up with a signage concept that embraces all aspects of public information and orientation to provide a universally applicable and highly specifiable product.
The key to this system is an extruded anodised aluminium track which can reliably accommodate every aspect of information display from glass screens to flat screen monitors. The universal fixing system can be fixed to walls or incorporated as part of a partition. Ideally the fixing system is introduced at an early stage to provide integrated signage for the interior and exterior.
Profile One can be used to form a fixed item of furniture such as a reception desk or display system. If installed as a door side product, it can accommodate a range of accessories such as light switches and entry systems.
