Duncan founded Billings Jackson Design with Eoin Billings in 1992.

Duncan trained as an engineer and furniture designer and uses strategic skills from both disciplines to bring design and manufacture closer together in the development of products and systems for the built environment.

This Applied Industrial Design is a pioneering process that runs from strategic decision-making through production to delivery, enhancing the speed and quality of project delivery and providing manufacturers with a clear route to market.

Duncan successfully established the New York office in 2005 and was invited to become a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts that same year. In Spring 2013 he opened Billings Jackson Design’s third office, in Chicago.
