Folding Table

This concept table forms part of a 1980s study of developing folding furniture from CNC (Computer Numerical Control) manufactured sheet material by Duncan Jackson. The table structure is cut from a single sheet of 12mm plywood. The concentric elements are pivot hinged and fold back into the thickness of the table. A 6mm sheet is laminated to remaining 12mm plywood to create the tabletop. The whole structure folds down to a 40mm thick panel, which can be wall-hung.
