Broadway Boulevard Pilot in Progress

The pilot scheme for pedestrianising a section of New York's Broadway, between Herald Square and Columbus Circle, will run from 24 May to mid-August before permanent moves to remove vehicular traffic begin. Billings Jackson Design is working on surface treatments, zoning and street furniture for the new boulevard, which incorporates the notoriously congested Times Square.
