Concili Chair

The challenge was to design a practical, stackable chair that is comfortable in use over long periods of time. Billings Jackson Design considered the likely variations in posture and position in finding a solution that aims to guarantee comfort. The fully upholstered version contributes to this and has the added benefit of acoustic attenuation.

This design prioritises comfort, function and importantly affordability through the careful selection and application of materials and manufacturing techniques. Various models are now available, either fully or partly upholstered and with or without arms.

Concili Seat can be custom-upholstered and is available in Pelle Frau leather, in the Poltrona Frau fabric collections, or alternatively in the customer’s own material. Where upholstery is used this is polyurethane foam, supported by elastic strip springs and shaped to envelop the user. The legs are powder-coated steel.
